THERE IS ONE MS. GAUR AZIZ A DEVOTEE OF OUR ACHARYA WHO WAS MAINTAINING GOSHALAS WITH THE BLESSINGS OF OUR GURU. SHE IS A MUSLIM LADY WHO RECEIVED BRICKBATS FROM HER OWN COMMUNITY FOR THIS WORK OF HERS. AFTER 11/11 SHE COULD NOYT CONTINUE HER WORK.

SHE CAME TO SANKARALAYAM LAST MONTH WHEN PERIAVAL WAS HERE.
SHE HAS BEEN DIRECTED TO THE DEVOTEES FORUM .
SHE WILL BE COMING TO SANKARALAYAM ON 18 MAY. WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANY DEVOTEES WOULD BE INTERESTED IN COORDINATING WITH MS. GAUR AZIZ ON THIS PROJECT. SHE FIRST NEEDS A PLACE TO KEEP THE CATTLE THAT ARE RESCUED FROM SLAUGHTERING.

The practice of Goshalas should rank as number one in the priority list of we astikas. Like they say charity starts at home, seva and sisrusha should start from the mother. In our universal prayer too this is emphasised as Goh Brahmanebhyo subhamastu nityam , about which our Paramacharya has time and again told that if they are looked after well, the whole society will experience an overall wellbeing. I fervently pray that the wishes for cow care centres are translated in to happy realities with our esteemed friends joining the efforts in full force.

Please let us know what we can do sitting half way across the world. I can't think of anything else other than prayers and a little bit of financial support. Is it possible to establish another goSAla in a neighboring village? (City people want only milk not the cows!)

Kindly let me know the places where these cattles can be housed. I can get some place at Sriperumbudur. If it has to be near Kancheepuram then I need some more time to discuss and get things done.

Dear Umaji,

Can someone compile the list of Goshalas in Chennai. I am aware of

Pasumatam which is in Perumalagaram, Tiruverkadu.

This list will be benefitial for the other members to do the pitru kariyam

and other tharpanams in Goshalas.
