Gems from the Paramacharya

One of our plans is to bring out small handy booklets (like the Thus Spake Ramakrishna, Thus Spake Vivekananda kind), with quotes from our Paramacharya. This is part of the celebrations to commence next year from February 13, 2006. We are looking for interesting/powerful quotes in English on any aspect of Life/Religion that the Paramacharya has spoken. You could look at Deivathin Kural or any other published material.

Please send us as many quotes as you can. Each quotation should be a maximum of 50 to 60 words and not more. While sending the quotation please remember to mention the original source, page number & line/paragraph for verification by the editorial group. We are keen that we involve as many devotees in this project as possible, so that we get a huge bouquet of quotations. We will subsequently translate these from English to other Indian languages too. These booklets will be distributed freely, without cost to various schools, colleges and at religious meets/discourses.

Keep sending your collection of 'Gems' as & when they are ready. Jot down anything that appeals to you as a person. It could be a comment by the Paramacharya on any subject. It could be very simple, witty and need not always sound very philosophical or scholarly. Quotations must bring out the width & depth of his knowledge, and experience, his deep intellect and his compassion.
